Paloma Faith and Texas to headline 2024 Football for Change fundraising gala

BRIT Award winner Paloma Faith and legendary rock band Texas will perform headline sets in Liverpool in November in aid of Football for Change.

Faith and the best-selling Scottish band will be joined by TV legend and comedian Alan Carr for the star-studded annual event.

Football for Change was launched by a string of Premier League superstars in 2021 alongside leading PR firm This Generation Communications. The initiative, which has already raised over £1.1 million, aims to lift young people from disadvantaged backgrounds out of poverty by providing grants for life-changing opportunities in education, employment and sport. 

Football icons including Liverpool and England international Trent Alexander-Arnold, Leicester City star Conor Coady, Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon and Real Madrid icon Jude Belligham are all ambassadors for Football For Change which is also backed by Manchester United legend Gary Neville, Lioness Beth Mead and Steven Gerrard.

Football for Change chairman Jamie Carragher will also deliver a key-note speech at the event which is being supported by business from all over the UK.

Paloma Faith, 43, released her debut studio album in 2009 and was certified double platinum in the UK. Her second studio album, Fall to Grace, charted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and earned her another double platinum certification. 

Meanwhile, Texas, are one of the most decorated music acts of all time, achieving thirteen top-ten singles on the UK singles chart and three number-one albums and eight UK top-ten albums on the UK albums chart. The certified rock legends, led by Sharleen Spiteri, have sold an incredible 40 million records worldwide. 

Texas lead singer, Sharleen Spiteri, said:

Football stars including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Wayne Rooney, Dominc Calvert Lewin, Peter Crouch and Gary Neville all attended the Football For Change gala in 2024 which was headlined by Olly Murs.
